About Mario
Mario Arizpe’s journey into photography began 26 years ago with the birth of his daughter. Equipped with a film camera, he documented her early years, developing each frame with care. Encouraged by his family’s admiration for his work, Mario embraced photography as a hobby, capturing landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits. What started as a passion soon evolved into a profession.
Twenty years ago, Mario transitioned into professional photography, receiving invitations to capture events as a lead photographer. His talent and keen eye for detail opened doors in the entertainment industry, where he became the main photographer for SMG Events, Nova Luna, Vanilla, and Plum nightclubs in El Paso. His work eventually led him to collaborate with Insomniac, a national music festival powerhouse, securing a role as one of the main photographers for EDC Las Vegas, one of the largest music festivals in the country.
Photography has allowed Mario to merge his two greatest passions: imagery and music. His career has been filled with unforgettable moments, giving him the opportunity to develop unique styles and expand his artistic vision. Beyond the nightlife and music scene, he served as the lead photographer for El Paso Fashion Week in partnership with Bazaar Models, working closely with renowned artists and models.
For two decades, Mario’s brand operated under the name Indigo Photography, but he later rebranded under his own name, Arizpe, a brand that represents more than just photography—it embodies the power of storytelling through imagery. Mario believes that photography is a way to truly see people, to understand their stories, and to capture their personalities authentically. However, his greatest reward remains the joy and emotion his clients feel when they see his work—a testament to the moments he has preserved through his lens.
